SOREA founder, Charlie Deane, began his career in resin and polymers working with store planners and designers to create visual merchandising solutions for retail interiors. At that time, the only decorative polymer products on the market were either opaque or transparent and available in primary colors. Identifying a design void in the marketplace, Charlie launched a partnership with a Seattle-based company and began designing and implementing artisan patterns for transparent polymers. Catering to the architectural and design marketplace, these innovative pieces were an overnight success.
In 2004, Charlie founded SOREA to continue his exploration into resin and polymers artistry. He began developing luxury, decorative bathroom spa products and furniture through his own proprietary patent pending processes. Concurrent to launch of his company, Charlie teamed up with a Canadian kiln cast art glass company, where he developed a new polymer product line. These sheets made it possible for customers to acquire the look of kiln cast glass but at a fraction of the cost and weight.
Today, Charlie’s on-going passion for resin and polymers as creative expression continues to shape and frame the design and development of SOREA-branded cast texture designs.
“It is human nature to gravitate towards light; our processes were created with this in mind. SOREA designs products that offer a blend of elegance and a balance of form and space in the environment they are intended for.”
