SOREA is committed to finding ways to minimize the impact on the environment, and helping to create a more sustainable manufacturing process. While the expression Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle absolutely applies to how we act as a company, we have added, Recover, and Recast to this mantra.
REDUCE
We have achieved a zero waste factor on all the cast polymer material we use in our manufacturing processes. All trimmings, rejected cast product and fall out cast material is grounded and recycled and cast into new cast sheets and/or products.
REUSE
Reusing materials is one of the most efficient methods of reducing environmental impact. That’s why SOREA has designed a way to reuse thermal energy generated during manufacturing to heat our facility creating an annual savings of BTU’s energy. Our quest to discover new and better ways to reuse materials is never ending. We even reuse our shipping palettes. The more materials we reuse, the more efficient SOREA becomes, resulting in superior value to our customers.
RECYCLE
SOREA offers materials using recycled polymers with an up to a 40% recycled content available to all customers. We also offer PETG which has achieved CRADLE TO CRADLE Silver Certification.
RECOVER and RECAST
SOREA offers a program called RECAST to all their customers. OUR RECAST program is designed to avoid SOREA’s cast designs from going to landfills. We achieve this by RECOVERING the cast designs destined for landfills and reprocessing them into new designs at a discount to the customer.
How it Works:
Customers can acquire new SOREA cast designs and Sorea will take back any cast products originally provided and installed in the customer’s location provided that a purchase ofnew Sorea Cast material is purchased by the customer that are ofequal or greater quantity as the Sorea cast products originally installed.
- The customer’will have the original Sorea cast product removed and stored while the new SOREA Cast products are installed. The original SOREA Cast product will be packaged and shipped back to SOREA in the crates provided for the new SOREA cast products.
- The SOREA cast product taken back will be cleaned, and offered for sale by SOREA on a consignment basis.
- The sale price, will be shared between the customer and SOREA at an agreed upon percentage arrangement after expense are deducted
- If the SOREA cast designs do not sell after a pre-determined period of time, the Sorea cast designs will be ground down by SOREA and used to make new products
